The production version of the Pininfarina H2 Speed debuted at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. The concept version originally debuted at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, and later that year, the Italian coachbuilder confirmed it would be heading to production. Only a dozen units of the hydrogen race car will be produced, powered by four electric motors that are good for a total system output of 653 horsepower. Helping make the production car a reality is Pininfarina’s partner, GreenGT, which is a Franco-Swiss company that has been designing, developing, and manufacturing clean and sustainable propulsion systems since 2008. Some of the components used in the production H2 Speed from GreenGT include the 250 kW fuel cell and torque vectoring system.
